Do you guys know what time it is? It’s baby season! Well, not really but if feels that way. It seems like all of our favorite actresses and celebrities are expecting bundles of joy this year. This includes; Zoe Saldana, Eva Mendes, Kelly Rowland, Hayden Panettiere, Christina Ricci, Rachel Bilson, Mila Kunis, Scarlett Johansson, Ciara, Emily Blunt, Kelly Clarkson, Olivia Wilde, and seemingingly countless others.
Well you can add Kirsten Dunst to that ever-growing list. Not officially, but probably soon. “Thirty-three is a good age to have your first baby,” according to Dunst, who is the stunning cover girl for Red UK’s September issue. Explaining the cause for her fertile thoughts, the 32-year-old actress confessed, “I’m in baby mode because two of my really good friends are pregnant right now,” when she sat down with the British mag to discuss her readiness to become impregnated, happiness and work-life balance in her thirties and spending the summer in London with her significant other Garrett Hedlund.
Though, Dunst doesn’t seem to be too worried about sticking to any deadline (despite our somewhat misleading headline), explaining: “I’m not as worried as I used to be. When I was younger, if I wasn’t working, I would get anxiety. I’d feel like I should be doing something. But now I’m so good at chilling out. In my thirties I’ve become really good friends with relaxing.” Although she did admit, “I’m sure one day, if I have kids, the anxiety of life will come back again, because you’re worried about somebody else.”
The Two Faces of January star was also quizzed about what the next decade holds in general, she answered: “There could be wonderful things that happen, horrible things that happen. You don’t know what’s going to happen in the next 10 years. But I get asked that question a lot because I’m in my thirties and it’s like: time to get married and have babies, right? That’s the vibe. Well, I already have a mother to ask those questions, so nobody else needs to!”
