Celebrate The 30th Anniversary Of Gremlins With This Retrospective

Gremlins, the classic fright comedy about morphing little menace-monsters wreaking merry mayhem all over small town America during the holidays, actually opened in theaters on June 8, 1984. The movie became an immediate summer blockbuster, but given its very specific yuletide setting—e.g., Gizmo himself, the original gremlin, enters the film as a Christmas gift—Gremlins has endured as a beloved December viewing tradition on par with The Nightmare Before Christmas, Batman Returns, Bad Santa, Home Alone, and Elf.

Today, our favorite YouTuber, Oliver Harper, has released yet another epic retrospective, this time looking back at this unintentional holiday classic. Check out some insightful commentary, little known facts, behind-the-scenes footage and many other things that any Gremlins should love.
