From Clueless To Mean Girls: A Tribute To Teen Girls in Film

2015 marks the 20th anniversary of Clueless – Amy Heckerling’s 1995 hit about Beverly Hills do-gooder Cher Horowitz (played by Alicia Silverstone at her finest) and her entourage of privileged one-percenters. Clueless is the original version of MTV’s The Hills, except that it’s hilarious, irreverent, fresh, and not full of airheaded fame whores.

After the film’s success, Clueless reminded us that movies about teen girls aren’t always just for teen girls — you don’t have to be wrestling with adolescence, peer pressure or who you’re going to the prom with to appreciate the wit and wisdom that a great femalecentric teen flick has to offer.

With that being said, one of our favorite YouTubers, Robert Jones, has put together this supecut of the most memorable teenage girls in film. From Kirsten Dunst in Bring It On To Emma Stone in Easy A to the unrelenting Plastics in Mean Girls – they’re all covered.
