Looks can be deceiving – especially in the world of cinema. There are countless characters out there who appear, on the surface at least, to be very normal human beings, whereas they’re actually something more.
Aliens, vampires, robots – you name it – they’ve all tried to blend in with society by assuming the appearance of one of us. Sometimes it’s with lethal intent, other times it’s simply because they do indeed want to blend in. And sometimes it’s simply because they belong to a race that happens to look like us.
With that being said, today we will be presenting you with the most random theme for a movie list that you’re likely to come across today. This is the sexiest non-human characters in film history (female edition).
25. Kim Basinger as Celeste Martin – My Stepmother Is An Alien (1988)
Eccentric scientist Steven Mills (Dan Aykroyd) finds himself getting fired after he manages to tap the power of lightning to fire a laser deep into space. What he doesn’t realize is that he has caused Celeste (Kim Basinger), an extremely attractive alien, to come to earth in order to tap his knowledge of the laser (as her planet is in danger). But the only way she can get Steve’s help is to make out with him, have sex with him and marry him – all of which she finds surprisingly enjoyable.
Celeste is stated to be 1296 years old. Her species reproduces by synthesis in a petri dish due to sex being deemed “inefficient and messy” – although after experiencing sex for herself, Celeste admits she felt her species’ decision to simply abandon sex was a little hasty.
24. Aubrey Plaza as Beth Slocum – Life After Beth (2014)
You always hear, “You never know what you have until it’s gone.” Or is that just a Janet Jackson song? Either way, writer and director Jeff Baena took this idea and imagined it at its literal extreme. Devastated by the death of his girlfriend, Zach (Dane DeHaan) vows to be make the most out of his relationship when his lady love Beth (Aubrey Plaza) is resurrected.
What separates Beth from some other zombie chicks who almost made this list is the fact that she doesn’t change instantly. Beth actually retains her hotness for the entirety of the film. Beth’s decomposing flesh doesn’t become a problem until the final quarter of the proceedings – and even then, she’s still pretty hot.
23. Antje Traue as Faora – Man Of Steel (2013)
In this Superman reboot, Faora is General Zod’s sub-commander and a commander of the Kryptonian military who is completely devoted and loyal to Zod (Michael Shannon). Merciless, cold, and brutal in her methods, Faora’s military training and skills make her a very dangerous opponent to the Man Of Steel.
While Lois Lane (Amy Adams) is the female of the proceedings who’s meant to get all the attention, Faora is arguably a thousand times hotter (probably because she’s faster than a speeding bullet).
22. Helen Slater as Kara Zor-El – Supergirl (1984)
As a spin-off to Alexander and Ilya Salkind’s Superman films, Supergirl’s first theatrical outing wasn’t exactly held in high regard upon its initial release, but it has grown a bit of a cult following over the years. This is mostly due to the lovely Helen Slater playing the titular character. If they ever make another Supergirl movie, Slater should at least have a cameo in the film (she certainly deserves it).
Despite the fact that this film was made in the mid-80s (and despite the fact that it’s difficult to say good things about the Christopher Reeve Superman outfit that isn’t too dissimilar to this one), Supergirl’s outfit still holds up. Consisting of a tight-fitting blue top with the infamous Super-logo on it, a red cape and a cheerleader-esq skirt, as well as knee high red and yellow boots – this style certainly suits females more than it suits males and Slater pulls it off incredibly well.
21. Jaimie Alexander as Sif – Thor Films (2011-2013)
Sif, also known as Lady Sif, is an Asgardian adventurer and warrior in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Once worshiped by the Vikings as the Norse goddess of war, she is a good friend of the Asgardian prince Thor and the Warriors Three.
The gorgeous Jaimie Alexander plays Sif and her battle gear, along with the spear and shield combination that she wields, looks exceptionally cool. With chest and torso armor, arm protection, heavy duty boots, leather-esq trousers, the aforementioned spear and a shield, Sif’s outfit screams the word “warrior” and ensures that she is battle-ready (and incredibly sexy) at all times.
